Review Policy

Hey book trolls! I figured it was time to create a review policy, thus creating this page! On to the review policy.

If you wish to suggest a book for me to read or if you’re writing a book and want my opinion, then my requirements are listed below.

Length: The length of the book doesn’t matter to me just note that the longer it is the later I might get back to you with a review.

Genre: I tend to read and review YA books. Mostly fantasy, fiction, and science fiction, but I do branch out and read adult books. I will read cutesy romance books-I have not read Anna and the French Kiss yet or others by that author-however, love triangles aren’t necessarily my favorite. But if you suggest a love triangle-ly book to me then sure! I’ll read it! I also read comic books so if you want to suggest a comic book to me you can do that to.

I Do Not Read: biographies, autobiographies, historical fiction-I can be persuaded on this one, religious books, self help books, philosophy books-I tried to read Sophie’s World but I was never in the right mood, and super dark books-books with really graphic murders, stuff like that (although I do enjoy reading the Throne of Glass books so if you know more books like that then please ignore this one and suggest it to me).

Reviews: My reviews are 100% my own opinion. If you disagree with my opinion, then feel free to discuss with me in a calm and civil way in the comments. Do not leave a comment to me in all caps asking me why I disagreed with X. If you wanted me to read a book and to review it: Understand that each month I try to have one book review, each review tending to be on the second Thursday in the second full week in that month. I tend to schedule these reviews way ahead of time to ensure that even if life calls at least one post will be going up every month. So basically, if you ask me to review a book then the review might not come up for a while. If, upon request, you ask me to put up my review as quickly as possible, then I’ll see what I’ll be able to do. If thats the case then I might move some reviews around, or put two reviews in one month.

Rating System: I rate books with the Baymax rating system. I am a what can be classified as a part nerd/book troll/crazy person so I rate books out of Baymaxs. Baymax is from Big Hero Six.

rating system

Click on the picture to get a better view. I do give out 4.5/5 Baymaxs which just means that even though I had some problems with the book, it had a lot of good things that outweighed the bad things. Its complex I know! If you want me to review a book, leave a comment below telling me the title of the book and its author. If you are a publisher, author, or anyone in that field, and you want me to review a book then tell me in the comments and I’ll give you my email if needed. Thats all for now book trolls! Bye!

Edit: I may recommend books given 3/5 baymaxs depending on the book. Since creating my rating system I’ve read more books that fall in the 3/5 catogory, but they are still enjoyable books and I have recommend them.

  1. Hello Lucia, I just want to start off by saying, I LOVE your rating system. Makes me want to go watch Big Hero Six again…like right now! Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I was wondering if you’d be interested in reviewing one of my books. Based on your listed genre favorites, Unfathomable Chance is right up your alley since it is a YA Urban Sci-fi. Full of adventure and just a bit of romance, I hope you’ll consider reviewing it.

    1. I’m glad you like my rating system! I would love to review Unfathomable Chance, it sounds like a great book. 🙂 I don’t know if you need it or not but my email is:
I would prefer a PDF of your book, as that works best for me. I really look forward to reading and reviewing your book.
One last thing: please note that it might take me awhile to review your book; I moved in August so I’m still adjusting to a new school/community.
