But Lucia, whats this book actually about?
I’m getting there, I’m getting there.
So, this book is about a boy who was really popular. He played tennis, and he had a hot girlfriend, etc, etc. But then, he git in a car accident and everything fell apart. Dun, dun, DUN! He can’t play tennis again, and he removes himself from the popular kids setting. Did I mention that his girlfriend cheated on him? So the boy-Ezra-learns how to deal, he takes up a new group of friends. This book is a coming of age book, and yes there is a romance!
The review-for everyone:
This book was really great. I loved the characters, the plot, and the conflict. It wasn’t a book that had a plot like this:
Character has problem; character: my life is ruined!
Character slowly finds solution
Character has no more conflict from there
No, that wasn’t how it went, and I liked it. It went more like this:
Character is lost and doesn’t know where to turn
Character works on solution
Character finds more conflict on the way
Character finds peace
I thought that the author really highlighted the fact that yes, change is hard, and that yes there’ll be more bumps in the road. The plot was eventful and had ever growing conflicts. The other plot that I made up was flat, the character in that plot didn’t learn anything on the way. I would recommend this book to you, its a fast read. The font isn’t super tiny, and the characters are very relatable. I gave this book a 4.5/5 baymaxs because towards the end it was slightly predictable. However, don’t let that stop you from picking this book up
Bye book trolls!
