I would like to thank Pooja@ Booksarica, and as always you can visit her blog by clicking in this general area! I made the link orange to celebrate fall, get it, get it? This award was created by Edge Of Night so be sure to check out their blog!
Here are the Rules-from Pooja’s post, and she took these rules from the original Edge of night post:
-
Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
-
Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post.
-
Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
-
Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them.Provide a link to the award post you created.
-
Provide a link to the original post on Edge of Night. That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!
Here is the story:
I’m sure you’ve noticed by now but I’m slightly crazy-in a good way! I like to talk about books but no one in my family or in my friend group really cared or had time to talk about books with me. I read fast, so I would finish a book with no one to fangirl with. When I watched book tube my stepdad would make fun of me in a teasing way- so nothing serious- but I liked watching book tube because I got to connect with others about books. I found out about new books, and it felt like I had someone to fangirl with. Heres one thing you should probably understand about me, I talk a lot, so after I talk for a while people stop caring about what I really have to say. Anyway, so I decide to start a blog, my aunt had started a blog a few years back with wordpress so I decide to start one on wordpress too. In fact, Reading with Lucia was started on April 1st 2015 .
Advice:
Heres my advice to new bloggers: don’t try to get every follower out there. Don’t try to do things just for your followers. I’m not saying don’t post anything, I’m saying don’t do a tag just because every one else is doing it. Blog for you, be different. It seems hard at first and at times you might not care because whats the point if you have no followers? But it doesn’t matter it really doesn’t. Make some friends in the blogosphere, read posts by others when you can. Pick a broad topic to blog about. If you chose to blog about books, don’t just blog about one book series. You will get bored! Some good topics include: books, life, music, movies, nature, DIY-do it yourself, Art, writing, traveling, and so much more. Topics that I wouldn’t use include: one book series ( with certain exceptions, depending on how big of a fan base the books have, and how many books there are. You could get away with a HP blog for example) one TV series, only movies directed by certain people, music by one musician. You get the point. Now, this is totally 100% my opinion so if you don’t agree then thats fine. But I hope this helped !
